Prem K. Reddy
I am a Postdoctoral Associate in Chemical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where I work with Prof. Allan Myerson.
My research focuses on crystallization science, molecular modeling, and materials synthesis. I study the mechanisms that govern crystallization in small molecules, metal-organic frameworks, and related porous materials by combining computation with experiment.
My work spans molecular dynamics, microkinetic and population balance modeling, DFT-supported analysis, and experimental methods including in-situ GIWAXS, SAXS, EXAFS, wet milling, and materials synthesis. I am especially interested in using mechanistic understanding to improve process design and materials development.
Before joining MIT, I completed my PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University of Illinois Chicago under the guidance of Prof. Meenesh Singh. I also hold an MTech in Chemical Engineering from IIT Madras and a BTech in Chemical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.
This website brings together my publications, research activities, teaching experience, and professional background.
